New Harvest is a nonprofit research institute that supports open, public cultured meat research. Founded in 2004, they are the world’s longest-running organization dedicated to advancing the field of cellular agriculture, supporting groundbreaking research reinventing the way we make animal products—without animals.

The annual Conference is a live, in-person event bringing together all stakeholders across the emerging field of cellular agriculture. For two days, researchers, companies, students, policymakers, investors, artists, activists, journalists, skeptics, early adopters, and more convene to discuss the future of cultured meat and other cell-cultured foods.

The conference explores the latest scientific breakthroughs and commercial developments, and think critically about the multiple futures of food made possible by cell ag.

What the community shared:

“Before New Harvest 2019, I thought cell ag was too early and small of a niche to consider for future career prospects. After attending and connecting with so many great entrepreneurs, motivators, and researchers, I was shocked to find how rapidly emerging and expansive this community really is. I left inspired to shift my career aspirations in the direction of cell ag to help further advance this field.” - Cory Jubinville, PhD candidate, University of Connecticut

“New Harvest's conference introduced me to a community of incredible people who gave me invaluable career advice, helped me get multiple jobs, and became some of my closest friends in the industry.”  - Alex Kleinman, Research Associate at Biomilq

“New Harvest is the reason I’m in cell ag today. Their commitment to championing the industry was how I first discovered cell ag and they supported my earliest work in the industry. New Harvest 2017 was my first cell ag conference. I'm so grateful to have it come full circle and present at New Harvest 2022” .- Matthew Anderson-Baron, Co-founder, Future Fields
